Draft. The highlighted parts must be completed and the whole page checked by a lawyer before launch.
The short version
The test runs entirely in your browser. Your answers stay there and are not sent anywhere. There is no account, and this site uses no cookies. We only count visits, and a handful of actions, in a way that does not identify you (see “Counting visits” below).
Who is responsible
See the Impressum for the company, address and legal form. E-mail: info@panorizon.com.
What happens when you visit
Like every website, our host receives your IP address and basic technical details (browser, page requested, time) when your browser asks for a page, and keeps them in server logs for a short period to run and secure the site. Our host is [Hostinger entity and address, and the log retention period]. We do not use these logs to identify you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure, working site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
The test and your result
Your answers stay in your browser and are gone when you close or reload the page. If you choose to copy a link to your result, the link contains only your score and a range, for example ?r=63-47-77. It contains no name, no answers and nothing that identifies you. Anyone who opens it sees that score and range.
Counting visits
To see how the site is used, we use Umami Cloud (umami.is), a privacy-focused analytics service. We chose the EU region for it. It counts page views and a few actions: starting a test, finishing it (together with the level reached, never the answers), leaving early, opening the page of words to review, copying a result link, and clicking a link to the App Store or Google Play. It also records the page language, the referring site, browser, device type and country.
According to Umami's documentation it uses no cookies, collects no personally identifiable information and does not follow you across other sites. We ask it to ignore your browser's Do Not Track setting being on (it then counts nothing from you), and we keep the part of the address after the question mark, which holds a shared score, out of the counts. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used and improving it (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object at any time by turning on Do Not Track in your browser or by writing to us.
[Before launch: confirm the data processing agreement with Umami is in place, name the contracting entity and address, and describe how IP addresses are handled, which Umami's public FAQ does not say.]
Links to the App Store
The button to Vocabulary Gym leads to Apple's App Store. From that point Apple's own privacy policy applies. We do not pass anything to Apple when you click.
Your rights
You may ask us for access to, correction or deletion of personal data we hold about you, object to processing, and complain to a data protection authority. Because this site does not knowingly hold personal data beyond the server logs above, such requests will usually concern those logs. Write to info@panorizon.com.
